Maybe a LOT of money. Well, so have I. Well into the tens of thousands of dollars.

I certainly don’t regret any of it. Even the crappy products can valuable a learning experience.

I’ve belonged ( and still belong to) some of the very best membership sites and training resource sites available, but I’ve always thought I’d have to build a site to really provide a simple, powerful resource for beginners.

Not any more!

A friend of mine casually mentioned this site called “The Traffic Plan”, and I had to take a look. After all, traffic is the Holy Grail of online success, and I thought there might be a nugget or two I hadn’t heard before.

Wrong. It’s not “nuggets”, it’s pure and simple genius.

The Traffic Plan is a brilliant combination of both Tools and Training to get someone started in an Internet business immediately.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a Network Marketer, Affiliate Marketer, Home-based entrepreneur, or even a brick-and-mortar Shop… The Traffic Plan provides the all the Basics.

So…you might ask, “If you have invested in all this training, why would You want the Traffic Plan?”

Simple! To keep learning, but even MORE important:To help others learn how to use the Internet for business, to help them learn how to market, to help them build a list., and to build a Team of like-minded (and trained) entrepreneurs.

Here are the Key Points:

The Traffic Plan is a genuine No BS, no-Hype zone

The training provided is absolutely first-rate

The list building component is the foundation, as it should be.

It can be implemented almost immediately.
Just set your profile, and you can start list-building within the hour.

And….Oh yea….it’s FREE

Strangely enough, it’s almost never taught by Network Marketing companies or even by well meaning Sponsors.

Here’s what it is not, or shouldn’t be:

A Sales Pitch

A parrot-like 30 second “elevator speech”

Just a bored exchange of business cards

A political, religious, or personal diatribe

And here’s what it should be:

An opportunity to meet another human being who you might be able to help.

An opportunity to meet another human being who might be able to help you.

An opportunity to Listen…and Learn

Networking type events or day-to-day encounters can be a great opportunity for you to make contact with potential business partners and customers – If… you know the right way to interact with people.

The most common mistake is to think that you have talk about yourself and your opportunity first.

Stop it! It doesn’t work very well, does it?

Instead of trying to put yourself in the best possible light , remember this simple, low stress, non pitchy approach:

Stop Selling, stop Telling, and Learn to Listen.

How? Here’s a great “ice breaker” type of question.

After mutual intros, ask in a light-hearted way, “So how can I help you?”

Usually the reply:

“I don’t know… how can you help me?”

Too which you might respond:

“I don’t know either, but maybe we can find out… what kind of business are you in?”

Once you find out who and what you are dealing with, you can ask all sorts of questions, and see if this is indeed the right type of person to be a potential partner, associate, or even mentor. (A great way to grow your Mastermind group)

Then, you can ask all kinds of questions about things like:

“What are your greatest challenges in your marketing?”

“Do you ever feel you could be more effective but not sure how?”

“How is that affect you?”

“Have you done anything to resolve these challenges?”

“How did that work out?”

“What sort of challenges do you face with selling your products/services?”

“What did you feel worked/didn’t work?”

“If you could do it all over again, would you do it differently?”

“Have you thought about what you think the problem might be?”

Of course, different conversations lead to different questions, but the idea is to be a problem solver, not a pitch pusher.

If you let people talk, they’ll tell you everything you need to know. And who can resist the opportunity to talk about…themselves?

At the right time, you want to transition into something like this:

“The reason I’m asking is… (explain how what you do could help this person) and if this is something of interest to you, perhaps I could give you a call tomorrow and see whether we might be able to do something together… would that be good for you?”

The answer is usually “Yes” because you were talking about something that was important to them.

It’s fast, it’s fun, and doesn’t take much time.

And…you’ve established yourself as relaxed, professional, fascinating person.

After all…you were willing to Listen, and that’s a great gift in today’s world.

That’s “Networking”, wouldn’t you agree?

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

The Story of The Final Analysis
“The Paradoxical Commandments” were written by Kent M. Keith and published in 1968 in his booklet for student leaders titled The Silent Revolution: Dynamic Leadership in the Student Council. The Paradoxical Commandments immediately began circulating among student leaders and later the general public in the United States and overseas.
As the Paradoxical Commandments were shared, those who shared them occasionally changed a few words or changed the title and format. One version is known as the “Ten Commandments of Leadership.”
The version that Mother Teresa put up on the wall of her children’s home in Calcutta was titled “Anyway” and consisted of eight of the original ten Paradoxical Commandments, reformatted as a poem.
Another version of the Paradoxical Commandments, often attributed to Mother Teresa but noticeably different from the version on her wall, is “The Final Analysis”.

Desperate Times…
Are these the worst of times…or the best of times?
If we believed everything the media had to say several months ago, we may as well have just thrown ourselves on a sword and got it over with. Or, maybe we should believe all the giddy media forecasts of “recovery”, and start the party!
So here’s [...]

Desperate Times…

Are these the worst of times…or the best of times?

If we believed everything the media had to say several months ago, we may as well have just thrown ourselves on a sword and got it over with. Or, maybe we should believe all the giddy media forecasts of “recovery”, and start the party!

So here’s a thought….recently, the stock market has dropped over to scary lows, and then risen again, and who knows where it will go next? And what does all that have to do with growing a network marketing business, anyway?

Not much. Historically, when the economy has been bad, network marketing companies have grown. This time around is no exception.

Employment is shakier than ever, with hundreds of thousands of people losing their jobs monthly, despite ( or maybe because of ) government intervention and “bailouts” at unprecedented levels.

It seems that more and more people are looking for a self-employment solution, rather than just another J-O-B ( just over broke), or unemployment compensation, or welfare.

Now, and I mean right now, is the best time in modern history to start a business, or re-think your business, learn more financially valuable skills, and prosper.

In fact, I believe that the REAL economic recovery will come from and be led by small business, home-based business, and the rise of a new entrepreneurial spirit… in former employees.

If you don’t think that, if you’re fearful, it’s just opportunity rushing on by.

It could be the “Worst of Times”, or it can be the “Best of Times’

That will be largely determined by what happens between the ears.

“If you think you can, or think you can’t..you’re right” Henry Ford

“Many people have the wrong idea of what network marketing is; the truth is that the business has evolved significantly in the last twenty years. There are those who will shy away from network marketing because of its past, and then there are those smart ones who will make their fortunes because they can forget the past and see the future. In network marketing, the power of your connections and determination allows you to build a highly successful business without the traditional costs of going into business on your own. The products, systems and ability to generate a great income and lifestyle make a powerful combination for those who want their share of the American dream.”

Andreessen’s faith in the power of the web isn’t terribly surprising, given his front-row seat at the outset of the Internet revolution.

Andreessen’s unwavering view is that the Internet will soon take over all aspects of our lives. Online services won’t merely supplement your TV viewing or newspaper reading, but will replace those activities altogether.

Here are a few of Andreesens credentials:

Over the past two years Andreessen has emerged as the most connected, prescient, right-place-right-time force in Silicon Valley. In addition to his Twitter stake, he sits on Facebook’s board and advises the CEOs at both companies. He is co-founder and chairman of Ning, a service that lets people create their own niche social networks, like 50 Cent’s ThisIs50.com. Ning, co-founded with CEO Gina Bianchini, adds 2.5 million members a month. Andreessen owns stakes in Digg, LinkedIn, and Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die comedy site. He recently joined the board of eBay (EBAY, Fortune 500) to help that company turn around, and he is the author of a hugely influential blog that went on hiatus in August 2008. By the time this story appears, he promises, the blog will be back with a new design.

In short, Andreesen is plugged-in, and more than most, sees what’s coming. So… what does this mean to you as a net-citizen?

Well, the Internet is already the most powerful, versatile communication tool in human history. and it seems that it will continue to expand it’s capabilities.

So instead of cell phones, land lines, TV, newspapers, magazines, movie theaters….we’ll be able to access all this stuff more efficiently, and cheaply, through the Internet.

Will it replace all other media? No, but it is increasingly important that we understand the possibilities the ‘Net allows.

One simple suggestion: Get your own name as a domain name now, if it’s available. (Family members, too.)

Go to www.NameCheap.cpm or www.GoDaddy.com, and see if your name is still available. If it is , grab it for less than $10 a year..

You’ll be glad you did…

In Mexico, 1968, John Stephan Akwhari started the race. He was injured, painfully, in a fall during the race. Watch…

This marathoner from from the tiny nation of Tanzania started the Marathon full of hope, and preparation, and doubts, and dreams.

Of all the athletes, the drama, the courage, the excellence, and fanfare of all the Olympics I’ve witnessed….none has affected me more than this man.

These days, it’s easier than ever to start a business.

The BIG question isn’t how to start, the Question is: “Will you finish the race?”
